Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer with experience in formal engineering life-cycle processes to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Aurora, Colorado location to meet challenging issues confronting national security. Qualified individuals must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking and capable of working on an agile program, as it moves through the system lifecycle phases of development, testing and deployment. The ideal candidates will develop solutions to increasingly complex problems, utilizing ingenuity, innovation, thoroughness, and practicality; and perform their work with minimal direction and oversight. This position is focused on the end-to-end engineering of interfaces, both internal and external, and architectural level system engineering activities. Work will also include definition and management of system requirements, and verification and validation activities. The preferred candidate will have experience of ground systems, should be able to work and function in a dynamic environment where requirements can change according to the customer needs. In addition, the candidate must be a team player, able to lead a team of engineers and work comfortably and effectively with company team members as well as program stakeholders and customer personnel using strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills. Also, the candidate will be required to support technical interchange meetings, on-site technical support, and event support.
