For the experienced professionals and veterans, we value your expertise and offer opportunities to share the most compelling projects.The Learning Specialist - Instructional Designer is responsible for the design, development and deployment of blended learning programs. The LS will work with the Sr. Manager of L&D, Learning Partners, and Trainers to create and update course materials and other key support tools. This role will also design learning solutions utilizing multiple delivery and distribution channels, such as Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), elearning, micro-learning, video, webinars and more, using dynamic instructional design methodologies.SUMMARY:The Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer is responsible for working with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business to consult on learning best practices and design best in class learning materials.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Interviews and consults with key stakeholders and SMEs utilizing the ADDIE and SAM models
  • Creates training project outlines, learning objectives, and storyboards that detail instructional activities to support learning objectives
  • Translate design requirements into functional learning modules; manage user acceptance testing process
  • Design best-in-class eLearning modules using Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc.
  • Utilize design software such as Photoshop and InDesign, and multimedia design software such as Adobe Acrobat, as well as basic web design (including HTML and CSS) to enhance the learning experience
  • Version existing work for periodic updates and redeployment
  • Creatively adapt older content and delivery styles to updated digital methodologies
  • Collaborates with other instructional designers to improve and create development processes, methods, and reusable templates.
  • Monitors and evaluates the impact of training and communications.
  • Identifies ongoing and re-training needs and recommends solutions.
  • Utilizes Project Management practices and tools to effectively manage the full lifecycle of all learning projects
  • Participates in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and creative solutions to improve policies, processes and tools.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours
    • Other duties as assignedCOMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
        • Ability to travel to multiple SNC locations nationwide
        • Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management

          • 6+ years of experience developing learning materials across multiple modalities
          • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required and advanced knowledge of PowerPoint is preferred
          • Advanced skill in one or more of Adobe Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
          • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript
          • Knowledge of learning development applications i.e. Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, Creative Cloud, etc.
          • Basic video and audio editing skills are a strong plus
          • Ability to learn and master new software applications quickly and thoroughly
          • Requires a BA/BS in Related FieldSKILLS REQUIRED:
            • Extensive knowledge of Instructional Design and Adult Learning Principles
            • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Publisher)
            • Advanced skill in one or more of Adobe Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
            • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript
